Treatment begins with a 90 minute Initial Evaluation:

Dr. Ruberu will review your information and work with you to understand your treatment needs.
Diagnostic impressions, treatment recommendations, and treatment plan will be discussed.
Treatment is generally scheduled as 45-55 minute therapy sessions, occurring once per week. More frequent or longer sessions can be scheduled if needed.
Payment is due at the beginning of each session.
Therapy sessions must be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice.
Therapy sessions canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full session fee.
Dr. Ruberu cannot immediately respond to phone calls, emails, or texts received during therapy sessions or meetings.
Urgent phone calls, emails or texts will be replied as soon as reasonably possible.
Non-urgent phone calls, emails, and texts will be replied within 24 hours during normal business hours and generally not after 6pm.
Emergency services are not offered by Dr. Ruberu.
In an emergency situation, please do the following: immediately call 911, contact your pimary care doctor, or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
Therapy is confidential. Exceptions to confidentiality are detailed in the "Psychotherapist-Patient Services Agreement"
The security/confidentiality of any information exchanged via email and text cannot be guaranteed. Thus, it is important to keep communication via email and text brief and practical (i.e. pertaining to scheduling issues rather than clinical issues).
